If you’re looking for a fun experience in Puyallup, you should definitely consider visiting the Washington State Fair. It’s one of the largest fairs in the world, and it offers various activities and entertainment for people of all ages.

I’ve always enjoyed attending the two main fairs held annually: the four-day Spring Fair in April and the more extended 20-day fair in September. The environment is impressive and fun to go to.

When you visit, you’ll find a mix of food and drinks, entertaining shows, and other attractions to keep you entertained. So, if you’re planning a trip to Puyallup, make sure to include the Washington State Fair on your list of must-visit places.

2. Learn About History

For those who are interested in learning about the past, Puyallup has a real gem – the Meeker Mansion. I’ve visited this historic building a few times, and it always impresses me with its fascinating history and architecture.

Built-in 1886 by Ezra Meeker, Puyallup’s first mayor, the mansion showcases the elegant lifestyle he enjoyed during his tenure in the late 1800s. As you step inside, you’ll be amazed by the stained glass windows, period antiques, and hand-painted ceilings.

Before the mansion, the Meeker family used to live in a wooden cabin, which now stands in Pioneer Park.

3. Picnic And Meet New People

Pioneer Park is two acres big and has a grassy area for picnics. You’ll find tables and a pavilion too. You can enjoy chatting with locals and other visitors during your visit, making it more fun.

Besides fun activities, the park has a statue of Ezra Meeker, a pioneer citizen. There’s also a parking lot, restrooms, and a veterans memorial.
