Outlaw Kitchen’s ambiance has modern and wild west elements to it. It has an overall clean design, with plenty of TVs and posters from the movie “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.” On the other hand, this restaurant is constructed nearly entirely from wood and has a cow skull on the wall for decoration.
The service was fast and friendly. They’re super accommodating to any dietary restrictions and can easily accommodate larger groups of people.
The food here is super flavorful and delicious all around. Some popular dishes here are their pulled pork egg rolls and Frito pie. They also have a full-service bar.
2. Ambrosia Bistro & Wine Bar

Ambrosia Bistro has a classy interior with a slightly older design to it. It’s cozy and romantic, with warmer colors for the lights and perfectly crafted decor, with a mix of plants and paintings.
It often isn’t noisy at all, and most people are in button-up shirts or dresses, so you may need to do a little bit of dressing up to fit in. There is plenty of seating all over the restaurant, and it typically isn’t filled to the brim.
The staff at Ambrosia Bistro are knowledgeable about the food and drinks they serve. They’re also welcoming and attentive to any of your needs.
This is a very well-reviewed restaurant for its ambiance, staff, and, most importantly – food. They have amazing dishes that you’ll love. I recommend getting their French onion soup, cajun pasta, or salmon BLT. All of them are super yummy.

Mangrove Cafe has an amazing newly renovated interior that’s cozy. It feels like a grandparent’s home. It has a fireplace, paintings all around the restaurant, and warmer lighting.
There’s also an outdoor dining option by the garden, which has a ton of plants all over. The overall environment is fairly quiet for breakfasts and lunch, but during the evening, for dinner, it’s typically a little noisier since it has more people. So, if you’re coming here for dinner, you should book reservations.
The service here is amazing. The owner will occasionally check up to ensure everything is well, and the chef is the owner’s wife, who lived in Thailand and France. So, she knows how to make delicious Thai cuisine and French bakery. The server and owner are super friendly and accommodating here.
The food here is delicious at very affordable prices. The food here will not disappoint. I recommend trying out their spring roll, fresh roll, or their crepes if you’re coming in for breakfast.
4. Thai Kitchen

This is another Thai restaurant that’s popular for its delicious dishes. This is a casual restaurant that’s good for kids. Although, their spicy food here is super spicy. But, if you’re into that, then you’ll love this place.
The inside of this restaurant is what you’d expect a typical restaurant to look like, with plenty of seats and a few paintings on the walls.
This restaurant is typically fairly full and moderately noisy since it’s a popular place in Spokane Valley, so I recommend you book reservations. This is a casual place, so you won’t need to dress up when coming here. It’s not super clean, but not dirty, either.
The staff is cheerful and welcoming. They’re always smiling, which makes me happy. Sometimes, the food can take a while to come since there can be as little as one person in the kitchen.
Overall though, this is a great restaurant for delicious Thai food. It has spectacular pad thai, moo tod, and spring rolls that you’ll love.
5. La Plaza De Mexico

La Plaza De Mexico is an excellent Mexican restaurant that serves affordable meals. This place is open from 11 AM to 9 PM, so it’s a good place for lunch and dinner. This is also a casual, family-friendly restaurant with a separate kids’ menu.
There are plenty of seats here that are relatively close together, and there are TVs at each corner. There are plenty of portraits with photos and paintings throughout the restaurant. This place is always clean, which I love to see.
This restaurant was built from an old fast food joint, so the ambiance isn’t amazing. Overall, this is casual, welcoming, and cozy, though.
The staff is consistently polite, fast, and accommodating, which is a great combination.
Most foods here are filling but not super flavorful. Some foods I recommend ordering here are their carne asada tacos, plaza burrito, and chile verde enchiladas.
6. Craft & Gather

Craft & Gather is a neighborhood restaurant that serves a wide array of comfort foods and drinks. This is a casual and trendy place that is great to go to for a good time with friends for dinner. You can also bring dogs here, but they must be on a leash and on the patio.
This place has a more modern design, with a clean, minimalist design. There are several TVs throughout the restaurant, and there is a large cow skull on the wall covered in red paint for decoration. Most of the chairs are made of leather, and the tables and walls are made of wood here.
There’s also a patio here, with plenty of plants all around. They host a game of cornhole outside every Wednesday that you can join in on. The dining experience is semi-private, and the whole ambiance is welcoming.
The service here is also spectacular. They’re attentive, friendly, and will not disappoint.
Aside from that, their food is also delicious. They have amazing lamb burgers, deviled eggs, and chocolate cakes for dessert.
7. Jake And Clays Public House

Jake And Clays is the perfect spot to go to for sandwiches and salads. This is a locally-owned store, with the owners being the only staff here last I went. This restaurant is small and was founded recently, but it’s gaining traction with its delicious meals and various drinks. Jake And Clays is for anyone looking for a quick bite to eat.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with warmer lighting and wooden floors. There is a full-service bar that you can see right when you walk in, along with TVs at each corner of the restaurant to keep you entertained. Jake and Clays is really clean and often isn’t filled to the brim, so it’s fairly quiet.
The service here is super friendly, welcoming, and very timely. They’re also very upbeat, which is great to see around Eastern Washington.
Some recommendations I have are to start out with the strawberry bruschetta crosonti for your appetizer, then go for their wedge salad, and finish it off with the Southside sandwich.

This is a modern European restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. They use a woodstone stove for many of their dishes since they specialize in open hearth-style cooking. Everything here is made from scratch at a reasonable price point. This family-friendly restaurant is for anyone who likes or wants to try European food out.
The environment here is cozy, with a TV that displays a fireplace, wooden architecture, red leather seats, and warm lighting. There are also purple flowers and other plants that hang from the ceiling for decoration.
Now, let’s talk about the staff here. The staff is kind and attentive, but they can be a little slow to get a table ready and get your order because they’re understaffed at times.
The food here is absolutely amazing, having a combination of freshness and deliciousness. Their Crimini burgers are one of the best burgers ever, and the gyros were also amazing.
9. Hangry’s

This restaurant will cure any “hangry” mood with its fresh and delicious food. This restaurant is family-owned, with their grandparents owning a restaurant chain called “Grumpy’s.” They decided to keep the tradition alive. This restaurant serves amazing burgers, BBQs, and seafood at fairly affordable prices. This is a great place to come to with friends or family.
Hangry’s ambiance is fairly small, with just a few tables. It’s cozy but not the most stylish. The restaurant isn’t sparkling clean, as there are occasionally some unvacuumed crumbs on the floor or someone who makes a mess at a table. There is some decoration around here, mainly photos of cars.
The staff here are nice and crack jokes. The jokes can be a little dark for some, but I personally like it. The service is great, similar to many upscale places.
The food here is what really attracts the people here, though. They have amazing burgers, better than any fast food joint. Their brown sugar BBQ bacon burger and Hangry burger are super savory and delicious.
10. Choo Choo Tortas

Choo Choo Tortas is one of the best restaurants to go to for cheap and delicious Mexican food. They’re perfect for families and are a great choice if you’re a fan of tacos or burritos.
Their ambiance is inviting, with subtle Mexican decor and a huge painting of a train on one of the walls, hence the name. This is a smaller establishment is somewhat limited seating, but it typically isn’t filled to the brim here. The decor isn’t anything fancy, but it creates a fun vibe.
The service here is over the counter. They’ll take your order and deliver it to your table or pack it up for takeout. They’re fast and efficient.
Now, it’s let about the food here. Choo Choo Tortas has some of the best Mexican food in town at killer prices. Their street tacos and quesabirria tacos smell amazing and taste fabulous too.
11. Dave’s Bar & Grill

This is a comfort food restaurant serving great fish and chips, among other dishes. Dave’s Bar & Grill serves daily specials for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all at killer prices. This is a great place to come with friends and be social.
Dave’s Bar & Grill has an older design, with 1950s-styled stools at the bar and wooden walls. There are also several TVs throughout the restaurant playing different sports and sports posters on the walls too. There’s also a popcorn machine. The restaurant is typically fairly packed, so it’s moderately noisy.
Dave’s Bar & Grill has fast service that’ll get you your food and drinks right away. The waitress here is kind, will ask if you want appetizers, and recommends great food.
They have amazing fish and chips, prime ribs, and cheeseburgers. Their popcorn is also on-point.
12. Black Straw Tea Bar & Kitchen

This is a Chinese place that has excellent food. It’s a well-reviewed restaurant that is perfect for anyone wanting Chinese food. This is a fairly affordable restaurant, especially for the quality of food they offer, and they also serve spectacular bubble tea.
The ambiance here is more modern and minimalistic. There are a few decor pieces, like the Maneki-Neko cat statue and photos of Asian food, on the walls. There is plenty of different lighting here, too, with some purple lighting in a small area of the restaurant and regular yellow lighting everywhere else.
The service here is great. They don’t check up too often, but if I need something, they’re typically available in a few minutes. They have a friendly attitude, and they’re quick.
This restaurant has great pork fried rice, crispy tangerine beef, and orange chicken. Their house milk tea is also sweet and enjoyable.
