One of the many neighboring cities on Seattle’s east side, Renton’s charming downtown is a treasure trove for local food, hidden antique shops, and bookstores. It has also become a popular place for people to settle down with their families, just far away enough from the bustle of Seattle.

Renton has since become a place for people to meet up in the evenings for food and drink, either to wind down from work or to meet up with friends, making happy hour an essential for local restaurants and bars. Below is a collection of some of Renton’s best happy hours, what they entail, and where to find them.

Trencher’s Kitchen and Tap

Happy Hour: Monday Through Friday, 2:00 – 5:00 PM

Trencher’s Kitchen and Tap offers weekday happy hour specials to its patrons, including $1 off all draft beers, $1 off house red or white wine, and a variety of food specials. Happy hour draft and food specials are available by request. Their happy hour is not available during holidays or other special events.

Locally owned and operated, Trencher’s Kitchen and Tap has a rotating selection of 50 beers and a selection of bottled and canned alcohol. They proudly serve grass-fed beef, sustainable seafood, and non-GMO foods at their eatery. They do have gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available.

The Local 907

Happy Hour: Every Day, 4:00 – 7:00 PM

The Local 907 happy hour is only available for dine in customers. Happy hour is available every day and includes $1 off all wells drinks, draft beers, wine by the glass, and specialty cocktails. They also have a happy hour food menu consisting of nachos, tater tots, salad, and more, all for under $10. 

Located in downtown Renton, the Local 907 is a casual pub and eatery that offers food, draft beers, wines, and more. Their pub is outfitted with televised sports and pool tables and they often host local trivia and comedy events.

Red House

Happy Hour: Monday Through Saturday, 4:00 – 6:00 PM

Those looking for drinks specifically can find special deals with Red House’s happy hour, which applies to their drink menu only. It offers $2 off all draft beers, $12 wine of the moment, which can include red, rose, white, and bubbly wines, and $12 specialty cocktails. Currently, their specialty cocktails for happy hour include a gimlet, a mule, a margarita, and a manhattan. 

Built inside of a historic 1920’s building in downtown Renton, Red House has been open for more than 17 years and has cemented itself as a fixture of the community. They have a full food menu ranging from small snacks to large meals, including desserts, and always have a selection of draft beers, wines, and specialty cocktails available.

The Brick Kitchen + Lounge

Happy Hour: Monday Through Thursday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM; Friday Through Sunday, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

The Brick Kitchen + Lounge happy hour menu is perfect for those looking to spend $10 or less on a drink or a meal. They offer $5 wine, $4 bottled beer, $6 wells, and $8 cocktails. Their food options range anywhere from tater tots and chicken tenders to salad and tacos. Their happy hour menu is not available for take out at the moment.

Located just off of I-405, the Brick Kitchen + Lounge has a full food and drink menu, including signature cocktails, beer, wine, sake, and soju. They regularly host local events, including bingo every Tuesday night and trivia every Wednesday night.

Berliner Pub

Happy Hour: Every Day, 3:00 PM -6:00 PM

This German themed pub has a happy hour menu that includes vegetarian options, all under $10. Food includes simple snacks, like french fries or a giant pretzel with dipping sauce, and larger meals, like bratwurst and burgers. All well liquor is $5.50 and house red or white wine is $6. They also offer $1 off all other half and full liter beers.

Located on Main Ave S, the Berliner Pub is a rustic pub with indoor and outdoor seating. Complete with German food, decor, and drinks, the pub also regularly hosts karaoke and trivia events weekly.

Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse

Happy Hour: Monday Through Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM – Closing Time

Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse has happy hour twice a day: once in the early evening and once in the late evening until they close. This is great for people that want to grab a bite right after work or for those who want to meet up later at night with friends. Their snacks include onion rings, chowder, wings, burgers, and more. Drinks include wine, beer, well drinks, and specialty drinks.

Located off of 7th street, Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse is an eclectic Texas-style roadhouse that prides itself on handcrafted food and warm hospitality. Their Dungeness crab cakes are award winning and they have a full bar that includes handcrafted cocktails and both local and national beers.

Marianna Ristorante

Happy Hour: Every Day, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Marianna Ristorante is perfect for those looking for a happy hour in a sit down restaurant. It is great for an early evening date or getting pizza with the family. Their happy hour includes $20 bottles of house wine and $10 pizzas.

Located in downtown Renton, Marianna Ristorante focuses on Northern Italian specialities made with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Its rustic decor and delicious food has made it a neighborhood classic for dinner dates, celebrations, and more.

WildFin American Grill

Happy Hour: Every Day, 3:00 – 6:00 PM

WildFin’s happy hour combines their wide array of beers with a selection of appetizers, making it a great choice for those that want to experience the fresh and local seafood and drinks without having to sit down for a large scale dinner. All draught beers are $7.95 during happy hour, while their bottled beers are $7 or lower.

The Renton WildFind American Grill is one of many. This northwest restaurant chain was built with a dedication to hand-crafted food that relies on locally sourced ingredients while remaining affordable. Their easygoing and casual atmosphere combined with their local delicacies has made WildFin a well established seafood chain across Washington state.
