Upon setting foot in County Line, you are instantly greeted by its inviting, home-like ambiance. This place is cozy, complemented by an appealing selection of beers, wines, and ciders at their full-service bar. There’s also an amazing outdoor patio you can go to for some fresh air and nature if it isn’t rainy or too cold outside. 

Even during peak hours, the staff handles every situation with truly respectable professionalism and friendliness. Whether you’re placing an order over the phone or dining in, they go the extra mile to ensure your experience is seamless and enjoyable.

Their menu, filled with various delicious dishes, features a few standouts. The cauliflower and noodle salad is a delight. The cauliflower is perfectly prepared and transforms this often-underestimated vegetable into a must-try dish. The noodle salad, accompanied by their delicious dressing, is absolutely delicious as well.

2. Layla’s

Layla’s has quickly become my preferred destination for a well-priced, delicious meal. Operating from 11 AM to 12 AM (the next day), it’s an ideal choice for a midday meal, a late-night snack, or anything in between.

Stepping into Layla’s, you are immediately welcomed in a vibrant, lively atmosphere. There’s a constant buzz of friendly chatter, combined with the clinking of glasses and the sizzling of food expertly prepared in the kitchen.

One of the highlights of my dining experience at Layla’s is the service. The staff is truly dedicated to ensuring your time there is exceptional. Even when there are minor hiccups, such as a slight delay with drinks.

Layla’s menu presents a variety of dishes. However, a few stood out to me. While the Banh Mi tacos and Asian salad were good, the slaw was the real champion, balancing a delicate crunchiness with a fresh, tangy flavor profile. 

3. Bistro At Lake Chelan

Tucked away in the beautiful area of Lake Chelan, the Bistro stands as a beacon for those seeking a yummy yet affordable dining experience. Opening its doors from 5 PM to 9 PM, this spot is a great choice for an intimate evening meal with friends or with your significant other.

If you’re fortunate to snag a spot on their patio, you’ll find it equipped with plenty of umbrellas, providing a cool feeling from the sun’s heat. The warm, inviting atmosphere inside the restaurant, complemented by its comfortable seating, makes it a lovely place to unwind after a long day.

Service at the Bistro is as prompt as it is polite, ensuring a pleasent dining experience from start to finish. The chef and owner, Todd, takes a personal interest in the satisfaction of his customers, often stepping out to greet and check on them, adding a personal touch to your meal.

When it comes to the food, the Bistro at Lake Chelan doesn’t hold back. Their menu, a blend of comfort food and delicious cuisine, has something for everyone. The Burrata and fig appetizer is a standout, creating a perfect balance of sweet and creamy flavors. The steak frites, and poulet frites are also really good.

4. Fonda Oaxaquena

Entering Fonda Oaxaquena, you are immediately greeted by its warm and inviting atmosphere, similar to a cozy Mexican place. It’s the sort of place where you instantly feel at home, lending itself to leisurely meals with friends and family.

Service at Fonda Oaxaquena is truly great. The staff is very good and attentive, ensuring that your water is always full and your needs are met promptly. 

Fonda Oaxaquena serves up an array of yummy dishes that are sure to clam your cravings for authentic Mexican cuisine. The spinach and mushroom enchilada lunch special is particularly good. The spinach is sautéed to perfection with garlic, resulting in a great, aromatic smell. The dish is served with salsa, which packs just the right amount of heat to spice up your meal.

5. Local Myth Pizza

Upon entering Local Myth Pizza, the first thing you’ll notice is the charming small-town vibe. There’s something about the ambiance that feels like home, met with excellent service. It’s the kind of place that suits a leisurely afternoon lunch or a casual dinner with friends, and it offers a variety of options for dining.

When it comes to the food, Local Myth Pizza does not disappoint. The Caesar salad is a yummy starter, but the star of the show is definitely the pizza. Regardless of the topping you choose, you’ll find the pizzas are cooked with delicious ingredients. The thin crust pizza, like the ‘First Date’, is well-balanced and delicious. The vegetarian pizza might not be everyone’s favorite, but it’s worth a try.

When it comes to food, The Vogue offers a selection of dishes that hit the mark in terms of taste and freshness. The paninis, particularly the turkey pesto and caprese sandwich, stand out with their fresh ingredients.

When it comes to service, Apple Cup Cafe does not disappoint. Expect attentive service, even on a Sunday morning.

The menu at Apple Cup Cafe focuses heavily on breakfast items, although there are some hits and misses. The Greek omelet is a definite hit, with tons of veggies and feta cheese – it’s the perfect non-greasy breakfast option. The spinach, still slightly crispy, adds a yummy texture that gives the overall taste of the omelet.

The service at Even Keel Roadhouse doesn’t lack. The staff across both businesses are friendly and efficient, ensuring you have a splendid dining experience.

When it comes to the menu, the pizzas at Even Keel Roadhouse are a must-try. Enjoying their homemade pizza and Stromboli, paired with a chilled raspberry cider from a local winery, can make for a truly delightful dining experience. 

Watching the sunset and admiring the lake’s beauty while savoring your meal could make your visit all the more memorable.

As for service, Riverwalk Cafe prides itself on its kind and efficient staff. They strive to bring out food in a timely manner, but it’s worth noting that there might be a wait during peak times. Visiting earlier in the day could help avoid a longer wait.

The menu includes a variety of dishes that cater to different preferences, including vegan options. One of the standout items is the vegan hash, served with fresh-made bread and a fruit side that even includes grapefruit-a refreshing twist rarely found at other restaurants.

When it comes to service, BBQ In The Vineyard keeps it simple and easy. Upon ordering at the counter, you receive a buzzer to notify you when your food is ready. Though the waiters presence might seem limited, the self-service style adds to the laid-back and relaxed dining experience.

The menu at BBQ In The Vineyard is all about hearty family-style dinners. With diverse barbecue options, there is something for everyone. The ribs and the Mac and Cheese come highly recommended, along with their unlimited cornbread, an ideal option for large groups.

In terms of food, La Brisa delivers both flavor and variety. You can start your meal with their delicious chips, served with a side of salsa and refried beans. Options like the Carne Asada Fajita and the Chicken Enchiladas & Chicken Chimichanga combo are highly recommended for main courses.
