Post last updated May 9, 2023

Axe throwing has become a trendy activity for many in and around Seattle. From date nights to birthday parties, axe throwing is a great way for friends and family to get together, enjoy food, and participate in a physical activity.

Although this activity is still relatively new, there are plenty of entertainment centers that host axe throwing in and around Seattle. Below are some of the best spots to try out axe throwing, from indoor digital games to outdoor arenas to mobile axe throwing lanes.

Axe Kickers

This family friendly location is a great place for those who want to try axe throwing for the first time. They offer food and drinks, including non-alcoholic options, so families and friends can all enjoy the fun. For more experienced players, Axe Kickers runs its own league events every week, including a Ladies Night League on Thursdays and a Saturday Morning Brunch League.

Axe Kickers is open daily. Singular lanes can be rented for groups up to 35 people. Private parties and company parties can also be reserved. Parking is free and patrons are allowed to bring in their own food. Kids are allowed to participate but need a waiver filled out beforehand.

Blade & Timber Axe Throwing

Known as one of the largest axe throwing locations in the whole world, Blade & Timber Axe Throwing has established itself as one of the premiere places to enjoy axe throwing. Guests can bring their own food, host parties, or participate in an axe throwing league. Kids as young as 10 can also participate.

Located in bustling Capitol Hill, Blade & Timber Axe Throwing boasts 18 lanes for axe throwing. Players can order a beer or bring their own food in from one of the many restaurants nearby. Blade & Timber Axe Throwing is open every day and lanes can be easily booked on their website with no reservation deposit required. Walk-ins are accepted with a first come, first serve availability.

Pacific Axes

For those who want to enjoy axe throwing without the hustle and bustle of Seattle, Pacific Axes offers an amazing axe throwing experience in the heart of downtown Redmond. Players can reserve a round just for themselves with a training session included or they can reserve the entire place for a group event, such as a birthday party or corporate event.

Just a short drive outside of Seattle, Pacific Axes is located in downtown Redmond not far from SR 520. It is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and other local activities, like an escape room and cat cafe. Pacific Axes is an all ages facility that serves alcohol and nonalcoholic drinks and has a board game area for those who want to take a break from axe throwing to relax.

This all ages game center is more than meets the eye. This multi-purpose entertainment center has traditional wooden axe throwing and digital axe throwing for players to enjoy. It is also one of the cheapest places to enjoy axe throwing, with prices starting at $15 per person. Players can also bring their own food, although they do have snacks and beverages available for purchase.

Game On NW is located just outside of Seattle right off of I-5 near the Everett Mall. The entire game center is for ages 10 and up. Along with axe throwing, they also have laser tag, flash pad games, table-top golf, and VR gaming. Their facility also includes a lounge with food and drinks.

This is one of the few axe throwing locations near the southside of Seattle. Axe Academy is open for guests ages 8 and up. Players can reserve lanes for birthday parties, corporate events, and large groups. Lanes do need to be reserved ahead of time and will only be held for ten minutes past the reserved time if guests are late, so it is important to be on time when visiting Axe Academy.

Formerly known as Bullseye Lane Axe Throwing, Axe Academy in Tacoma still offers the same fun adventures under its new name. They have traditional wooden axe throwing and digital projector axe throwing lanes. Kids axe throwing is at a lower price, making it a more affordable choice for families. They have snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase and a lounge area for guests that want to bring in their own food.
