Seattle Museum of Flight

We made a trip to the Museum of Flight near Seattle Washington and it was a great experience. The huge museum includes flight simulators and real artifacts from the history aviation with the Wright Brothers. Best yet – the gallery is filled with actual airplanes – some of which you can sit inside and pretend to fly.

Together with the wild and crazy flight simulator – our favorite exhibit (with movie) was the “car plane”. There was a real car that could magically convert to a mini airplane and back. Supposedly, the car-plane was a huge hit in limited manufacturing until the fuel crisis of the 1970’s began to hit the United States.

The Museum of Flight is located at Boeing Field – just south of the city of Seattle, Washington. It’s a cool place for adults interested in airplanes and the perfect place for kids to run around without breaking things. There are both vintage planes and modern planes – we found it to be both extremely cool and unique.
